How can I enable full page width with instyle theme?

Hi I have the Instyle theme and would like to activate full page width layout but when I open and edit a page, I look to page attributes there is no Page template option to choose full width. Why not? And what can I do? I would like my home page (blog posts) to be full width if I can, thank you.

Hi Kate,
With the TheStyle theme you’re using at http://katesyear.com/ you can make your pages full width by removing all of the sidebar widgets (under Appearance > Widgets in the site’s dashboard). If the widget sidebars are empty, the pages will be full width.
If you’d like widgets to appear on some pages but have other pages be full width, you can adjust the widget visibility for each widget.

So I originally didn’t have a side widget but the page did not go to full width, it kept that “space” there for some reason. I will try again and see what happens!

Ok you are brill! that totally worked, except for my twitter feed. I have it set to show up on my page labeled “manifesto” and no matter what I change it doesn’t show… does that take time to load? Thanks for the info!

The widgets can be a bit tricky in this theme — you’ll actually want to move the Twitter widget from the “Main Sidebar” area to the “Single Post/Page Sidebar” area. Since your Manifesto page is a single page, only widgets from the “Single Post/Page Sidebar” area will appear there.

Ohhhh gotcha! And here I thought I bought a “simple” theme haha. I think I got it now. I had another social media widget there now I will just have to choose … or make more pages :)
