How can I fix ‘error of type E_ERROR’?

  Hi there! Our WordPress site is down and the error I am getting is:

  An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 12 of the file /home/customer/www/germanyinusa.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gutenberg/lib/class-wp-theme-json.php. Error message: Cannot declare class WP_Theme_JSON, because the name is already in use

  How can I fix this? I have very little knowledge about coding, so I really need help!

  Hey Nicole, I’m not able to see the error on this side because your site is with a different host, but I did search the web, and I found this:

  It would seem either you need to update the plugin, or remove it. I would ask your host for help making a backup, then make sure your copy of WordPress is up to date too.
