How can I get a blog name that's been taken but then deleted?

  There are SO many blank wordpress domains just sitting doing nothing. I spent all night long entering in different names for a new blog, and they were all taken, but worst of all they were all blank or deleted. How come, when WordPress says a blog has been deleted by it’s author, that the subdomain name isn’t made available again? Also, I think you should automatically delete any wordpress blog that hasn’t been touched or logged into for six months.
