How can I get the SoundCloud Shortcode working on my DreamHost hosted site.

I have the exact same Soundcloud shortcode info in posts at http://andrejcarter.wordpress.com/2012/06/15/soundcloud-test/ and http://ajorel.com/2012/05/vancouver-all-stars-medium-coed-remix/. The first one works and the second one doesn’t and I’m trying to figure out why. I haven’t noticed any other problems with Jetpack on the ajorel.com site.
I’ve searched for help with this, but the only thing offered as a solution is commenting out the SoundCloud code and using a different SoundCloud plugin.

I can’t get the songs to play on ajorel.com. Were you able to?
It worked as expected on wordpress.com.

They seem to be playing just fine. Do you have Flash installed?

I may not have been clear enough in my original post when I said “the first one works and the second one doesn’t” I was referring to the links, not the songs. Both songs work on andrejcarter.wordpress.com, neither work on ajorel.com.

Yes, they’re working just fine for me on ajorel.com.

Yes, Flash 11.3.300 is installed for FF, Safari, and Chrome and I can’t get the songs on ajorel.com to play, but the wordpress.com versions do.

FF 13.0, Chrome 20.0.1132.34 beta, and Safari 5.1.7 on OS X 10.7.4.
It played on my roommates Windows computer.

Hm, there might be a problem with Chrome there. We can’t guarantee support for beta versions.
It’s playing properly for me on http://ajorel.com/ in Chrome 19.0.1084.56, Firefox 13, and Safari 5.1.7, all under OS X 10.7.4.
Are you definitely sure that you have Flash installed and enabled? WOuld you please try reinstalling it just to be sure? http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

I reinstalled Flash for FF and Safari and updated FF to 13.0.1 and the music still won’t play. I posted a picture of what it looks like at http://andrejcarter.wordpress.com/2012/06/15/soundcloud-on-ajorel/.
I also went to espn.com to ensure Flash was working and didn’t have a problem.

Hitting play doesn’t work.
When I go directly to SoundCloud it works, http://soundcloud.com/gofightwinmusic-com.

Unfortunately, I’m really unable to duplicate the problem, so it doesn’t appear to be an issue on our end.

After you said it was working for you and seeing it work on my roommates Windows PC I started to doubt it was a problem on your end. It’s still confusing, but it will resolve itself eventually.
Do you know if there are any plans to switch the shortcode to using the HTML player instead of the Flash player?

Yes, the implementation on WordPress.com already uses SoundCloud’s HTML5 embeds, so that should be making its way into Jetpack shortly.
