    I have been having some issues with my site migration as well. Do you have a creator level account and did you set up the staging using the WordPress.com tools to do so?

    There is a section in the settings called host configuration that has a section labeled staging site. It has options for going from production to staging and vise versa. You need to migrate the site using Staging to Production.

    It appears you had the WordPress.com Creator plan on your site, which allowed you to use custom themes and plugins. When those features are enabled, the site moves to a special server, which uses the wpcomstaging domain.
