How can I link my external domain with my blog on wordpress.com?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hey.

I registered a domain over an external provider (not wordpress) that has a (frame) transmission to my blog on wordpress.com. Unfortunately changes in the URL do not work if I switch through the sites on my blog. Whatever the site is always the URL ends with .de instead of .de/x or .de/y (for example).

Thank you very much for you help.

    Kind regards
    Judy

    Hi Judy,

You can use domain mapping to use your domain with your WordPress.com site. You can follow our guide to Map an Existing Domain to set that up, and once you are done your URL will change as you navigate through your site.

The WordPress.com Premium plan you have on your site also includes a domain credit, so you can map a domain at no extra charge. You can start mapping your domain by adding it on the Domains page.

Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)
