How can I make a .docx text document display properly?
-
I want to import, copy/paste .docx text documents from Microsoft Word into a new page/subpage on my blog. Importing only gives me a hyperlink, (which I don’t want) and while copy paste will WORK, all of the formatting such as paragraphs, paragraph indents, and line spacing all goes away and I am left with a giant paragraph.
So…if I want it to look like it does in Word, I have to go through the entire document and put in all the paragraph breaks and am still unable to “Tab”/indent the beginning of a paragraph.
I have done quite a bit of searching here in the support forums, but haven’t found an answer. Does anyone know if this is possible and can help with some advice?
Thank you very much!

Well, surely if you did a lot of searching you’ve seen us answer this question dozens of times; Word is not web-compatible, and you cannot copy and paste from Word and expect the blogging software to retain the formatting. You must use a web-compatible program like Windows Live Writer to create the files if you want to write offline and keep the formatting.
