How can I make blog posts based on photos?

    I would like to make regular blog posts where I post pictures of my characters from different games. How can I make it so that I post it in a style such as this?: https://silverr-rose.tumblr.com/page/4

    Good Morning –

    Do you plan to add more than one image of the character for each post? My suggestion would be to use an image or gallery block (for multiple images). Then, you can add a paragraph block beneath that if you want to share any supporting details about the image, game, character, etc…

    Let me know if you need more help with that.

    Thank you for the response! The issue is that there are times when I also want to post one picture in between ones with multiple pictures. I also want to show when certain pictures are related with each other/go together, such as in the example where in one post there is two pictures.

    Is there a way to import a tumblr theme or have it so that I can make a blog-style posts? I want to make my website’s layout like in the example.

    We can’t import tumblr themes, but if you’ll share links of what you want vs what you have, we can likely make a recommendation. Want to link to an affected post or page?

    It sounds like ultimately you just want to set up a blog, right? If so, go to My Site ->Design ->Customize ->Homepage settings, and select the option there to show latest posts on your site’s front page. At the moment you have it set up to show a static front page instead, which will only show the content you directly add to that page.

    Once you’ve changed that setting and saved it, you can go to My Site ->Site ->Posts and publish your new posts there. You can publish single-image posts, and you can publish gallery posts, and you can add tags and categories to group them together as well.

    This is not something that depends on your theme – this is how any site on WordPress.com is designed to work. All the theme does is change how it looks, i.e. layout, color schemes, etc.

    I don’t know of any theme that resembles what you currently have on Tumblr, though. You’d be able to tweak a WordPress.com theme to look that way using custom CSS, but that will require the Premium Plan, and that level of changes is also pretty complex, so you’ll likely need to hire a professional designer to help you with the changes.
