How can I manage private blog viewers and change them to users? (Authors)

  I accidentally invited people as viewers – I need to change them into authors. They don’t show up in the users list after they have accepted and logged in.

  Since you cannot directly change a Viewer/Follower to an Author, you’ll have to resend them an invite. Follow these instructions to add them as authors:

  Thanks, justjennifer, for the response. Seems like there should be a better way to either change the invitation before they accept, or start with a default role of “blank” instead of “viewer”, and force an intentional selection in the invitation process.
