Hello! I’m the webmaster for an author, Mark Arnold. I built a website for his books ~ http://www.funideasprod.wordpress.com. When I tried to log into the account, I got an error message saying the password must be reset. Unfortunately, I’m not getting the “reset messages” into the eMail account I set up for the WordPress account.

Mark Arnold never purchased the domain. I have no way to prove that he owns it or that I own it. What can I do to recover this website? If I can’t recover it, I will have to set up a new WordPress account for him and rebuild the site.

Thank you for any help you can give me!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there!

Please note that the site you mentioned is on a different WordPress.com account, not the @walkwithhistory account you’re logged into. When attempting to reset the password, the reset link is sent to the email address used on the other account.

We can’t share the email address here for security reasons, but it’s possible you may be checking a different inbox for the password reset email.

We’re unable to help with account recovery issues in the forums. Please see our account recovery procedures here:

Hello, and thank you for your response!

Yes, I understand that I used a different eMail address and log-in than the one associated with the website I need help with. I just needed to access the forum, and I can’t do so with the WordPress login for Mark Arnold’s website.

I will eMail the “Password Help” you listed. Because Mark Arnold never bought a plan or the domain, I can’t use the recovery form. I hope someone at WordPress can help me recover this website.

    Thanks again!
