How can I transfer over my old stats & social media shares to my new self-hosted

  I transferred to self hosted a few months ago & noticed that my social media share counts & my stats counts never transferred over. Please help.

  Hi there,

  I just transferred all of your stats over to your self-hosted site, so you’ll see all your stats there now. I see you’re using the official sharing buttons for the social media sharing on your self-hosted site. That means those share counts are actually coming from the social media services themselves (rather than from WordPress.com) so I can’t make any changes to what appears there.

  Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)

  Thank you so much. Could you transfer over my new followers as well & tell me how to have my new followers add to my new site & not my old. Thanks

  Sure thing! I just transferred your new followers to your self-hosted site.

  The best way to avoid getting new followers on the old WordPress.com site is to set that site to private. You can do that in the site’s reading settings here:

  https://thepinterestedparent.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php

  Next to “Site Visibility” you can select “I would like my site to be private, visible only to myself and users I choose.” That way people won’t be able to find the content on your old site anywhere (like in the WordPress.com Reader) and follow the wrong site that way.
