Hi there!
I just removed a CNAME you had added to your DNS records.
Squarespace’s directions are a little out of order, you should start here:
http://help.squarespace.com/guides/mapping-a-domain-general-instructions-a-record
And here’s a guide for changing your A records here at WordPress.com:
You won’t need to do the CNAME record they have listed, you’ll just need to do this last step of linking your Squarespace site to the domain:

Let me know if I can help further!

I’ve set it up so that it should forward to the squarespace number combination and have on the squarespace end, added the wordpress domain to receive. Have I missed something? My website is now down and still will not link to the squarespace page.
It’s becoming urgent.

Hi there!
It looks like you didn’t save your changes to the A record in our system. I just made that change for you, so your domain should start working shortly!
It can take several hours for DNS changes to fully propagate, but let me know if your site still isn’t working in a day!

Thanks, I figured that out after finding another solution. Now I guess I will go through with it…
In the time that it is transferring, will jennkaplan still load to the wordpress site?
-
Yep! You’ll see the WordPress.com site until the switch fully finishes. Right when the change happens, you may see an error about “too many redirects”, but that is totally normal and it should go away in a few minutes.

That’s the landing page on Squarespace’s side. Can you make sure you’ve done this last step?

If you’re having trouble logging into your Squarespace account, you’ll need to contact support over at Squarespace.

Ok, I’ve just linked existing. Fingers crossed
Does it work when you try to go to jennkaplan.com at all though now?
-
I’m not sure why, but the CNAME didn’t save when I updated your DNS. You should be all set now!
Let me know if you still have trouble accessing your site.

THANK YOU! everything works now <3
Seriously, thank you so so much. Between everything I read and watched to try this, you were the most help. I hope others having this trouble find your help.

Great! I’m so glad everything is working now! :)
Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with!
