How can my blog members get an email when they or I post something?

At the moment all of my members can post on my blog, however I would like all of my members to get emailed with the post that was made, but I do not know how to do this. It is in a private blog established within word press.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

My experience has been when I have my blog marked private, no one can access it without specific invitation. No income and no outflow unless it is marked public. That is all I know so far.

Well, yes, that is what “private blog” means. They can get email updates if you add the Subscribe widget in the sidebar AND they all sign up for email updates. You can’t do it for them.
