How can the blog owner turn off automatic email notifications of new posts going to people who signe
-
Is this possible to do from my end? I’m updating my blog today, and people are complaining about getting too many notices about new blog posts from me. Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I don’t believe that editing a post to update it ought to result in it being sent to subscribers, unless you are changing the publication date. Therefore, I will type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Also subscribe to this thread so you are notified when they respond and be patient while waiting. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

Hi @shericolberg, on our end it looks like you published all of those posts within the past few hours. And anytime you publish a new post on your public site, your followers will be notified. There’s no real way around that.
Have you thought about scheduling them instead? Remember blog posts are “news” items, so it’s good to post on a somewhat regular basis. Not as good to post dozens of news items in a row.
If you must post dozens of items at once (bearing in mind those who wish to follow your site will still be barraged with lots of new unread content if they visit) you could publish to a separate site with no followers, then export and import to your real site (which isn’t the same as publishing a new article). That’s the only workaround I can think of.
But it would be better still to schedule the posts instead.
