How come my blavatar will only change in some places and not all places?

I’ve changed my blavatar more than 24 hrs ago and in some places it is changed and some it is not. The old picture is Halloween oriented and I want to get them all changed. How can I do this ASAP or is there a glitch

Yes I have the difference between gravatar and blavatar. I have cleaned out all cash and cookies. I have also checked it on a different broswer as well. It has not changed the favicon area’s (on tab and by address bar) also when you share to facebook it uses’s the old one as well. It has changed on the WordPress toolbar and other spots. I even deleted the blavatar then added the new one again and it’s now been close to 48 hrs and it’s still not changed.

Favicons are actually cached by browsers for a very long time, and no actually controlled by the browser cache.
In most cases, the only check for new favicons every 30 days.

It also effects my share’s to fb still shows the old blavatar. I am also a web designer and whenever I change favicon’s there I only have to clear my cache if it lags and it’s there … this has been 1 week and I have cleaned out all cache, cookies, history and etc and it still won’t change. I have even deleted the blavatar and then re-added it and still nothing. Very frustrating

Yes! that’s exactly it … the old one had a Jack O Lantern. Weird because all 3 of my browsers show the old one and 2 of them never logged onto the blog from them until AFTER the new blavatar was set. Ok good to know that at least it is showing correct elsewhere.

Yeah, I think you’ll just have to wait for the browser to let go.
It’s annoying how long that takes sometimes. :(

Facebook is a weird creature, mostly because they change tiny things like this every week.
The image they choose is entirely up to them. They do cache favicons, but the length of time seems in flux quite often.

Ok so they have that one set too lol yeah i noticed certain posts it will pick photo’s from that post and others it tends to put that old fav icon

By the way it never did change over but soon as I put up a new one it changed immediately … weird, Oh well it’s changed now so all is good!
