How deleted old blog ?
-
Hello,
I am the creator of this blog https://monauto.wordpress.com/ which is very old and I can not find access. I would like to delete it because it appears in the SEO of my new blog https://www.monautonews.com/.
Who can I contact? What can I do ?

Hi there,
Only an account with admin rights to that site can delete it. If you cannot remember your password for that account, and no longer have access to the email address you had used for the account, the only other way we can give you access is through our account recovery process:
We cannot give you access to that site without verification of your ownership.

Hi !
Thanks
Is it possible I deleted the account and then the blog is free of ownership ?

No, that’s not possible. When a WordPress.com account is deleted all sites owned by that account are deleted as well.

We cannot disclose any information about other accounts. You can try any email that you have access to in the password reset form and see if it works:

I have the same problem, my blog is ten years old, I only made one post. The e-mail I used to register it is gone. All I want is to have the blog deleted as I’m revamping my brand. Who can help me delete this blog that has only one post that is an embed of a presentation from my similarly branded slideshare. I’ll pay to have it deleted and can demonstrate proof of owning my slideshare.
Thank you.

You’ll need to be logged in as the owner of the blog to delete it.
We have some options at https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/
We consider this a security matter and cannot accept any other alternatives.

Hi Macmanx, yes I’m aware. However I have no idea what the uid and pwd is. I would like someone at WordPress to delete the blog. It has one post which is an embed from my slideshare.

I suggest reaching out to our Account Recovery Team about this: https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/#account-recovery-form
We absolutely will not delete a site without our listed proofs of account ownership. We consider this a security matter, and we take the security of the accounts under our care very seriously.

I’ve tried the account recovery form which does not work if one does not have the transaction ID, the activation URL or key or two factor authentication code.
It’s nine years old, one post that is an embed to my Slideshare. Oh well, I’m taking down the slideshare to rebrand which will disassociate the blog from me and my name. It’ll just live here on WordPress with no content.
With all due respect ,what happens when someone dies? I take security seriously as well given I work in Infosec, however, there should be an alternate method beyond what is provided in account recovery. The e-mail address I used on comcast is gone along with the activation url and transaction ID.
Thank you for responding so quickly, have a nice weekend.

If one of our users passes away, we have a procedure in place so that their family or estate can gain control of or remove the site: https://en.support.wordpress.com/deceased-user/
