How did someone follow my blog when I've repointed it?

    I repointed my blog from old to new server when I transferred from wordpress.com to wordpress.org.

    I know it’s not possible to transfer your old followers to self-hosted blogs because the follow feature is just for wordpress.com blogs, but how come someone was still able to follow my old wordpress hosted blog?

    When you go to the site vagabondrich.com it takes you to the new self-hosted blog so I don’t understand how it’s still possible for people to follow it?

    Any help hugely appreciated.
