how do I access a very old site?
-
I created a site about 10 years ago. I would like to get back into it, but I can’t figure out how to access it. I can view the site at kathyrose.net, but I can’t get into my account or the dashboard. Plus, I’ve forgotten how to really navigate and I know there have been a lot of upgrades and changes. I would really like to keep what I have and just tweak it!

Hi there,
The site
kathyrose.netappears to be a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site hosted on BlueHost Web Hosting, and not a site hosted on our WordPress.com service. You can confirm here: https://gwhois.org/kathyrose.net+dns
To clarify, we are not the only providers of WordPress sites, and BlueHost also happens to offer WordPress sites, but they use a different version of the platform than what we use here. Because of this we are not able to help with your issue as it lies outside of our system. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ for more info.
However, the good news is that as long as you have access to the server control panel through BlueHost, it is always possible to regain access to your self-hosted WordPress site. This WordPress.org Codex article will walk you through it: http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
You can ask BlueHost support for direct assistance in completing the steps in that article; they would be in the best position to help.
Hope that points you in the right direction!
