How do I access directories for my site? Why do I not have the Plug-ins option?

My site, colgancreek.org, is due for renewal. I’m not sure I will renew it, because I cannot access the site in any way that allows me to upload files, such as the html files for verification through Google. All I see is the Administration page. The Add Media page does not allow uploads of html files. I also do not see the option to add Plug-ins. Shouldn’t I have that with this account, which is “Premium”?

I have another WP site that is hosted at GoDaddy. I can access the folders for that site using the GoDaddy interface or with WS-FTP Pro. I can see the WP-Admin, WP-Content, and WP-Includes folders and upload files to them. I can not do this for the colgancreek site, because it is hosted by WP and I have no way to access the site’s directories. What is the log-in info to get to my colgancreek directories at WP?

Please advise soon. It will be a hassle to move the site to GoDaddy, but that is what I’ll do if I can’t get access the directories, upload files or add Plug-Ins.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • It sounds like you would be better off with a self-hosted WordPress.org site (which is what you have at GoDaddy). While similar, WordPRess.com and WordPress.org have different functionality.

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

What you are looking to do cannot be done on WordPress.com.
