how do I add a categories list to my new blog?

  how do I add a category widget to my blog? Do I download that from somewhere?

  Hi there,

  You can add any widget to your blog by heading to Appearance > Widgets in your blog’s dashboard. You can also add widgets directly from your site’s Customizer if you prefer — that way you can preview your site as you add the widgets.
