How do I add more than one static page under a top menu?

I have a top menu named “about” and want to add several pages under this menu which are selected by a link at the bottom of the first page displayed.  This option is shown in the example of my theme (page 2 of 2 under the top menu “about”):  http://koidemo.wordpress.com/about-2/2/

wordpress won’t let me change the permalink of a page to the above through the pages menu and as they are static pages I can’t group them by category.  How can this be done?

    Thanks

There are many common errors, misunderstandings and misconceptions when creating custom menus http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/06/30/posts-on-pages/ and there are some tweaks you can use to improve your custom menu as well.

    Hi timethief

Thanks for your links. I managed to solve a sub menu issue, but I’m still stuck on how you can place several pages under one custom top (primary) menu with links to each one as displayed in the koi theme demo.

Are you able to clarify how this was done?

    Many thanks
