How do I add ping list to "update services"?

Under “Update services”, I would like to add a list of ping sites, but it doesn’t allow me to do so. Any suggestions on how to do this would be appreciated.

That’s not possible on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. That’s only possible on a self hosted wordpress.org install. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
