how do I add text with photos ?

  I’m new to WordPress. I’m an artist and want to create a portfolio of my artwork for public to view. I’ve selected the “Forever” theme. I’m having trouble adding text to my images. Can you help?

  Howdy,

  You have a couple of options here.

  You can enter captions to your photos — which will be used differently by different themes:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/image-settings/

  You can also add text to your posts and pages, and align your images accordingly:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/image-alignment/
