How do I add user name and image to blog posts?

    Greetings, I am just wondering how I would go about adding the line “submitted by (username)” to blog posts? As of right now, it just shows the date submitted and I wanted to add the posters name before it. Also, is there a way to replace the default date.gif to a user picture? I’m just messing around with a template at the moment and wanted to add these features before I really get cracking on the content.
