How do I change my blog address?

My current address is josephderosa.wordpress.com. I purchased josephderosa.com from GoDaddy. My wordpress profile when I sign in now has two profiles – the current one and the new one I just purchased. When I try to change the current domain where all my content resides to the new domain it tells me that domain already exists and won’t allow me to change it. This is really frustrating and don’t know what to do. I followed the instructions online but not working.

It looks like you purchased josephderosa.com through WordPress.com almost a year ago. It’s currently connected to your WordPress.com site josephderosadotcom.wordpress.com.
If you would like to move it to josephderosa.wordpress.com, you can do so by going to Store > My Upgrades in the dashboard of josephderosadotcom.wordpress.com:
https://josephderosadotcom.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgrades
Under your domain, select Transfer to Another Site.

still didn’t help. Apparently I forgot I purchased it from wordpress. How could it have been available through GoDaddy too? Looks like I got ripped off as I had already owned it?
Tried to follow your instructions and it didn’t work. Can WordPress make the change for me even for a fee?

Sure! I’ve gone ahead and transferred the domain josephderosa.com to your WordPress.com site josephderosa.wordpress.com.
You should check what domain you purchased from GoDaddy. You may have accidentally registered josephderosa.co or some other variant.
