How do I change template text/font colors for blog page headings/subheads?

Don’t know how/if I can change the current text/font colors (“Recent Posts, Archives, etc” labels) to something more readable — the ones currently on my blog page are very light.

    Hi there,

You can change your blog’s color scheme at Appearance -> Theme Options.

However, if you want to make specific changes, you might want to look into the Custom Design upgrade.

This allows you to customize your theme, change layout and colors, hide unwanted elements, and more. However, this does require at least some basic experience with CSS and HTML.

To learn more about the upgrade, see here:

When I go to the Theme Options page, all that I see are Header settings, Blog Options, and Personal Information. Color Scheme is Orange Spice — does that also determine the text color?

One of the reasons I picked the them Regulus is because it claimed to have custom colors, as well as “custom header, blues and yellows” (my company’s colors are PMS 288 Blue and PMS 138 Gold).

If I can only get text in these colors through Custom Design, then it would be worth it to get — otherwise, I may have to look into a different template.

  • Yes, the changing the color scheme will change the text color.

To get more specific, or use colors other than those in the schemes, you’ll need a Custom Design upgrade.
