How do I change text font?
-
Hi. I’m new to wordpress and I’ve noticed something that I need help with.
If you click to look at my blog you will notice that the writing is in different sizes and fonts like a bit is in Times New Roman and the rest in another font. I figured this must have happened while importing the content from Blogger so I went into edit post and I can’t find anyway of changing the style or size of a font. I can change the font colour which is great and I plan to use it but I want to change the style and size of the font so it doesn’t look a mess.
I’ll be gratefull for any and all help I’m given.
Thanks:)

We can’t click unless you give us the link to your WordPress.com blog, starting with http://

Thank you.
That coding was imported. To get rid of it, you’ll have to edit each post, clicking over to the HTML editor and stripping out all the < font > tags, both opening and closing. Tedious and you might prefer to leave it for a day you’re really bored. You can prevent this in future by writing your posts either directly in the Write Post box.

There is another way that might speed things up.
First off, go to settings > writing and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then click save changes.
Next, open each post in the visual editor, select everything in the editor window and then on the lower row of icons in the post editor, click on the angled rectangular looking icon (hover your mouse over it and it will say “remove formatting”). If the second row of icons does not show, click on the icon on the far right end of the top row (kitchen sink) and the second row will appear. Then click update post and have a look at your blog. That post should now be clean.
The change at settings > writing will help to correct any HTML errors that might have snuck in with the import from blogger.
The above if it works is much quicker and less painless than slogging through the HTML.

I should have added after the last sentence, “At the very least it will correct most of the issues and leave you with less to work through manually.”

Thanks for the replies you guys. I will Sacred’s way first then if it doesn’t work then I will try and brave the HMTL

I just noticed my typo in the last sentence of my first post. It should have been:
“The above if it works is much quicker and less painFULL than slogging through the HTML.”

Ok I have just edited all of my posts using Sacred’s suggestions and it has work Yay!
So now it doesn’t look like I’ve done nuts with the fonts.I would like the writing to be a bit bigger but at least it’s neat now so that’s a huge plus.
Thanks a lot everyone!
