How do I change the date on my blog front page?
-
My blog home page has May 2012 as the date, but that’s the date I created it, not the date of the last post. The date of May 2012 makes my blog look like its old and its not! How do I change this date (or remove it and just have the date of the most recent update /post?). Thanks.

The front page of your site is the blog page, which shows dates with each post.
If you want to set up a static front Page instead, read and follow these instructions: http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

Thanks Jennifer. I checked and the page is a blog page (not static) but still the original date is sitting there above all the text in a header box. I’m not sure what I’ve done wrong…..

You need to replace the blog page with a static front page.
Copy the content from http://4ayulest.wordpress.com/2012/05/30/hello-world/ and paste it into a new Page and save the Page. Then set the new Page as the Front Page of your site, as per the instructions I linked to.
