How do I create a background that doesn't need to be tiled?
-
I am having problems with creating a custom background. Someone I know has a great free blog on blogspot that allows her to have super cute custom backgrounds. When I try to upload a custom background with wordpress, I become sad. I can’t resize the background image once it is uploaded, and the tiling feature looks very poor and ancient.
Is there are way to solve my background problems? Is there a way to make the background can stay fixed at a custom size like on blogspot so that the tiling problem is not visible? For example, on blogspot, the background stays fixed while only the blog contents scroll.
I’m sad to say, but I might consider switching to blogspot just because blogs look so much better over there, and they’re free!

No, background images cannot be flexible here, but you can resize it with an image editor before uploading to get something that’s large enough for most monitors.
