How do I create static pages that are NOT the home page?
-
I am brand new to WordPress and trying to use it to create a simply static website. I keep reading all over the place that I can create additional web pages (beyond the home page) as static pages INSTEAD of blog posts. However, every page I create, displays with a blog post on it. I do NOT want this, but cannot figure out how to create a page that does NOT have the blog post on it. Please help, as I am getting really frustrated. I am sure I am missing something really simple.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Oh RATS! I made the classic error of not clicking into your blog. Ignore what I posted above.
That is NOT a free hosted WordPress.COM blog and we do not provide support for WordPress.ORG software here.
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
