How do I delete a site that had originally used a custom domain?
-
My account has multiple sites that have used a custom domain at some point.
These domains were registered somewhere else (not at WordPress).
I no longer use these domains, and I cannot delete the sites since I get redirected to /wp-admin/ page on the custom domain. The domains do not point to the WordPress.com hosted sites anymore.
How can I restore access so that I can delete the sites?

I can remove these non-WordPress.com sites from your account for you if you confirm that these are the right ones:
codealchemy.com
kevingh.com
box-project.orgJust let me know, thanks.

All three sites should now be disconnected.
I’m sorry, I think I got your name wrong.
No worries, it happens all the time. ;-)
Just let me know if you need anything else.

Awesome, thank you very much!
There is one last thing.
I deleted my one remaining site (glode.wordpress.com) but I am still seeing it in my profile, and still have access to it.
Is there something I missed, or does it just take a little bit of time to complete the deletion?

Hi there – it doesn’t look like the site deletion went through – did you receive an email with a confirmation link? Did you click the link?
If you like, I can delete that site for you on our end. Just a heads-up that site deletions are permanent and cannot be undone, and you won’t be able to reuse the name glode.wordpress.com again for any reason. Please confirm and I’ll be glad to delete the site for you.

Ah, I see.
No, I did not receive an email, and it does not look like it ended up in my spam folder.
Could you please delete it for me?
I understand the consequences and I accept them.
