how do i delete account entirely

HI, the instructions provided on how to delete account are not working. I dont have a site yet, so no need to empty and delete that…when i do to find out how to delete my account, it tells me to go to setting (which there are none other than account settings), then it says scroll down to the bottom to delete, but that option isnt there when i try. can anyone please help me delete this account, and make it unaccessible forever?

Hi again, accounts cannot be deleted.
See these instructions on how you can change your account info and then simply walk away from the account you no longer need:

yes, those are the same instructions I am saying will not work. where it says to go to settings, there is no tab for setting. only account settings. then it says to scroll down, and select delete account, but that option is not showing up. so I did go to where your link would take me, and those instructions did not work.

nevermind, sorry,…that was in reference to deleting a site…i suppose all i need to do is switch the password, and log off? sorry, nothing has been very clear to me on here, not a step by step setup…so I have been all over the place with this. if i understand correctly, there is no site on this account,(mickmakesmusic), so I simly need to erase personal info in account settings then reset password and leave?

The authors have deleted this site.Deleted.
As it says in the Delete Account Support doc:
…you can easily empty and delete your site. Once this is done remove all personal information from your Account Settings and change your password to a random string. This will leave your account inactive and prevent you from gaining access to it in the future.
Log out, clear your browser cache and cookies.
Log in with the correct username account.
