how do I delete old notifications?

I changed the content of my blog this year, and I want to delete all of my old notifications, e.g. of new followers, or of comments. Will emptying my site do this?

Hi there, you can follow our guide to emptying your current site’s content (including bulk deleting old comments and feedback), https://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/ and you can remove followers in your Manage>People>Followers at https://wordpress.com/people/followers/stbarnabasparishhistory.home.blog
Notifications generally come to you by email, if you have that set up, or are pinged via the website or app. I’m not certain that on-site notifications are removed, but they don’t count against your storage limit, if that is the concern.
