How Do I Disable Guest Commenting While Leaving Social Comments Intact

I would like to use Jetpack Comments to force users to use one of the social network credentials to comment. In essence, I want to remove the ”Email, Name Website” comments option.

From your Comments support page (http://jetpack.me/support/comments/), it states you can disable guest commenting through the Settings –> Discussions module. I don’t see how to do this. If i check the ”Comment author must fill out name and e-mail” option, it has no effect, when i check the ”Users must be registered and logged in to comment” option, it takes them to the WordPress login page – which is not the desired effect either.

is it possible to force users to user one of there social network IDs and not let them use their email?

  • At this time, requiring a login with a registered account on your blog is the only option we have available to disable guest commenting, though we may be improving that in the future.
