How do I get an old image to stop showing up with my posts?

I recently changed my profile image and my custom header, but an old image is still hanging around in certain places. For example, when I click on ‘My Site’ in the upper left-hand corner of the page, a menu pops up, and up at the top of that menu, this old image is there along with the url of my blog. Also, when I look at my posts, my new (correct) header image appears at the top, but if I cut and paste the url of one of my blog posts into Facebook, the image that pops up is this old image. I’ve cleared my cookies and cache, and this old image is not in my media library. It’s driving me crazy because this old image is a really outdated picture, and if I can’t get rid of it, I’m about to the point where I’m just going to discontinue this blog and start over with a different platform, but I hate to do that because I’ve written a lot on this platform. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

The image you refer to is a Blavatar, aka a “Blog Picture / Icon.” See the Blavatars support page. You may delete or change that image at your General Settings page (WP Admin dashboard → Settings → General).
