How do I get backup files for my theme & database? To move from wp.com to wp.org

  I exported the files that I could (according to this article: http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/) but it doesn’t seem to include the theme files. Can I get a backup of all the files and database?

  Hi Esther,

  Unfortunately this wouldn’t be possible to retrieve as WordPress.com themes cannot transfer to self-hosted sites. You’d only be able to export the posts/pages/media.
