How do I get LIVE support?
-
I have an active, paid account. I haven’t used it in a long time and want to CANCEL. But…I can’t login. Can’t get a password reset (as the email I set up the account with is no longer active. No Live Chat. No phone number. No email address.
Is my only option to tell me bank to BLOCK any charges from WordPress? I am so utterly sick and tired of companies like WordPress, taking our MONEY…giving no customer support, and then throwing us to a ‘community help’ forum…essentially offloading their customer service support onto US….their PAYING CUSTOMERS.
Disgraceful.

btw…I was only able to write the above post by creating a SECOND, new account, using my current active email address… So because this second, new account does not have a paid subscription plan associated with it, I’m unable to get any kind of meaningful suppot…

Having a note of username and password is sufficient to always keep access to an account here or anywhere really. You can regain access by finding the transaction ID on an old bank statement. See below:
If you can’t log in to WordPress.com, the next step depends on what you’ve lost—your password, your email access, your phone number, or your account itself. This guide helps you find the path that matches your situation, from a quick password reset to verifying your identity with our support team. I’m sorry for the frustration. I understand how stressful it is to be charged for something you can’t access. We can definitely help get this resolved.
Since you no longer have access to the email on your original account, here’s what to do:
- Check your bank or credit card statement for a WordPress charge (it may appear as WPCHRG.COM, WP*WordPress, or Automattic). The 9–10 character code next to it is your transaction ID.
- Submit the Account Recovery form — no login needed. Check the “transaction ID” box and paste in that code.
- Our team will verify your ownership and help you regain access so you can cancel the subscription.
I’d recommend holding off on blocking charges through your bank, as that can create complications. The recovery form is the fastest way to get this taken care of.
If you have any trouble finding a transaction ID, let us know here and we’ll look at other options.
