How do I get my website back?

    Firstly, I don’t know anything about websites. I paid a web developer to make me a website. The server has taken it offline and my linked email addresses don’t work. I want my website back in some sort of storage file (is this possible?) so I can take it to New Zealand, find a new web developer to sort out the problems and relaunch it. Please can someone tell me how to do this? The server won’t give me access to my website until I have a web developer, catch 22 situation!
