How do I get my wordpress pages to exist under a new primary domain?

I mapped an existing domain to my wordpress site (kelowna-boatrental.com from Wix) Now when I go to either domain my wix site shows up. If i am in the admin page on wordpress I am able to “preview changes” with the right page showing up. But if I click “view page” i am redirected to the wix site, this is from the wordpresss admin screen. How do I connect (map?) my wordpress pages?

Hi there!
In order to have your WordPress.com site appear when you visit your domain, you’ll need to change your name servers. Unfortunately, Wix doesn’t let you do this.
This means, you’ll need to transfer your domain away from Wix in order to use it with WordPress.com. If you need a recommendation for a new registrar, I’ve heard good things about hover.com.
Here’s Wix’s guide for transferring your domain:
Once you’ve done that, you’ll need to change your name servers to:
- NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
- NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
- NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

Hi Shawna,
Ok, I plan to move this domain over from Wix. But this process will take up to 60 days to complete. In the meantime I would like to use Hover.com to connect with another domain a bit faster.
What are the steps for me to do this?

The steps will be the same. You’ll need to change your name servers for that domain to these:
- NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
- NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
- NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
