How do I get search bar in the header of Illustratr theme?

  • Unknown's avatar

I see that all the widgets of the Illustratr theme get put in the bottom of that pull-up menu. But I would like to have a search bar in the either the header or preferably as part of my navigation menu. Can that be doable within CSS? My site is at http://www.aplaceforreviews.wordpress.com

On top of that, was wondering about how to add favicons? Is that a feature available through wordpress.com?

    Let me know, and thanks!

    Hi Brandon,

It might be possible to move the placement of your search widget using CSS, but it would be pretty tricky. The best place to get help with that kind of CSS is from the expert staff and volunteers in the CSS Customization forum here:

    https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization

If you’d rather not deal with the CSS yourself, you can also request help with CSS changes here: Request Theme Customization

On top of that, was wondering about how to add favicons? Is that a feature available through wordpress.com?

Sure thing! You can add a favicon by uploading a Blavatar for your site. You can do that by heading to Settings > General in the site’s dashboard. You’ll see a place to upload a blog picture/icon in the upper right there.

Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)
