How do I get the pictures to be clear on my site?

The pictures on my site are blurry right now… I’m not sure how to fix this.

    Hi,

Start with images of relatively high resolution, and do not enlarge images beyond the file size. The first two images on your front page, “FollowYourHeart” and “MPBPB,” use file images of 240 x 300 pixels, and 225 x 300 pixels, respectively. These are each expanded to close to three times the width and height of the originals. Enlarging an image by scaling typically lowers the resolution, resulting in blurriness and other generally undesirable effects.

Thank you, but how do I put them back to their original size, and is there a way for me to make them bigger, without them being blurry?

    @ prayworkeat,
    Sorry for the delay…

Thank you, but how do I put them back to their original size…

You’re welcome. The original images should be unchanged at the source(s), that is, wherever you got them from. If an image was uploaded from an image file in a folder on your computer or device, the image file should still be the same in the folder.

…and is there a way for me to make them bigger, without them being blurry?

Here are the Google search results for the keyword combinations “Enlarge images without reducing quality,” and “Enlarge images without reducing resolution.”

…but how do I put them back to their original size…

It depends on whether the images at the top of your posts, below the titles, are assigned as featured images or inserted in the content of the posts. If the images are in the content, then reducing to the original size is a simple matter of clicking on the image in the editor to activate the editing options, then dragging one corner of the image toward the middle until it reaches the file size. The file size of the image FollowYourHeart is included in the image URL (https://i0.wp.com/prayworkeat.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/FollowYourHeart-240×300.png). It is 240 pixels wide by 300 pixels tall. At least some of the other images on the front page also have the file sizes in the URLs.

If the images are assigned as featured images with the featured image module, you won’t be able to restored the the images to the file size directly in the post editor. Featured images typically appear at one set size on a theme.

Regardless of whether an image was uploaded from external files and inserted into the content of a post or assigned as a featured image, the image should appear at the file size in the media library.
