How do I go "Under Construction" with a WP.com Blog?

  How can I temporarily turn off my blog for construction so other people can’t see what’s going on until I’m ready? If I go “Private” will people who are already following me still be able to view? I don’t want anyone able to see it until I’m done customizing everything… Remember – this is a WP.com Blog. There is no Plug-In menu..

  If you go Private no, your subscribers won’t be able to see it. You will also lose any pagerank you’ve gained and start over from zero once you go public again.
