  How do I ensure that the URL link I put on the website is “live”?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I don’t quite understand the language here… What’s “em”… “ul”, “ol”, and “li”, and what’s a back tick? And, most important, where online can I read these instructions in more detail, without having to ask about them here?
