How do I make and use side-bars, etc?

    Having all kinds of issues, unfortunately, and spending too much time trying to fix things. What I want is a side-bar with a button to make it easy for people to buy my book, access facebook, etc. that pops up on each page. I also wanted to change the title &/or web address before I get too far down the road. I want to start sending out newsletters, but want the site to really work for me first. I’m not a computer geek, so need some tech help!
