How do I make my users show in the dashboard users menu

I’ve spent the last two days trying to fathom out why my users do not show up on the dashboard users all users menu. I’ve just created a test user on an email other than my usual one, by the usual invitation method and the acceptance shows up on the bottom of the invite users page bujt not on the all users page and can’t think of anything else to try. I need to get this sorted asap because my website/blog will be launched very soon.

in all user at the top left of the pagfe i see 2 users..but in the page i see only administrator user and if i try to resend the invitation to that user it says user already has a role

Also, I’ve just realised, when you have all users on screen there are supposed to be buttons to enable you to add and delete users.
They are not on mine.
I think this must be part of the same problem.
