How do I make pictures show up on the travel topic page?

My photos are not showing up in Topics page (e.g. http://en.wordpress.com/tag/travel/). All I get is a plain-text box with the first few lines of my text, but none of the images. All the other people’s posts seem to show their images on that page, so I must be doing something very wrong.
I haven’t found any documentation as to what affects having or not having pictures. Please help!

We’re making improvements on the travel tag page, so there is some weirdness like this going on right now.

Is there some way to know when these changes will be finished, and also get some specific instructions to get my images show up in the tags pages? I got it to work once, and now it’s not working again. It’s really disappointing to see my posts with beautiful photos show up as plain text in that view.
