How do I manage contributors who don't want WordPress accounts?

I am the administrator for a blog at a university, and we are trying to include posts by many different people. Some of these people are super busy and would prefer to just send me their post as an email attachment that I then publish as the administrator. Only issue is, I still need their name to come up in the byline. Is there any way I can do this?

The byline will always show the user who published the post, there’s no way around that, but you could end the post with something like, “Contributed by”
At least, that’s what some folks in your situation have done.
