How do I 'map' a domain bought on WordPress but being used to host a site out WordPress?

  Hello,

  I found that I can map a domain bought elsewere and host it in wordpress, but is the reserve is possible? I mean:I want to ‘map’ a domain that was bought on wordpress but that was being used out wordpress, is that possible?

  It was a domain that I forgot to pay and got expired; now want to get it back. If I just assign a wordpress plan, do I get it back and my problem is solved?
  I was about to pay, but I’m not certain if I’ll get what I want by doing it.

  Hi there,

  You can definitely map a domain bought from us to another hosting provider. You’ll just need the hosting provider’s name servers or IP addresses and then add those to your domain. If you’ve owned your domain for more than 60 days and did not recently update the contact information on the domain, you can even transfer the domain away form us to the new hosting provider:

  It was a domain that I forgot to pay and got expired; now want to get it back.

  Are you speaking of synbiobrasil.org? I’m afraid that domain is beyond the point where we’re able to recover it – our registrar has already started the process of completely deleting that domain.

  The only way to use that domain again is to wait for our registrar to release it, at which point you should be able to again register it at any domain provider. We don’t control this process, so I’m not able to give you the exact date on which the domain will be released, though it’s usually around 80 days after expiration.
