How do I open the website to start listing products.

Hi @chocolates199, how many products do you have? We don’t have a full e-commerce system that works with our servers, but for now we could help you set up PayPal buttons for your products.
Let us know if that will work. Otherwise you could run your own copy of WordPress.org at another host, and choose a store plugin that works for you.

Ok. What is a pay pal whatever you said and does that mean I have to use paypal for sales? Have not had a good ecperience with that in the past.

@chocolates199 this would involve using PayPal, yes. You would add buttons using this method:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/get-paypal-button-code/If you prefer not to use PayPal you could install your own copy of WordPress and a shopping cart plugin. We would just not be maintaining, supporting, or hosting it for you.

Who would support me if you didn’t? All I want to do is list products and give a short description of my company. I would also like some graphics for a nice look.

But if you just have a few products, it would probably be fine here where we can help you. Do you have your pictures and text ready yet?

No pics or text because I don’t know what to do with them. I have 240 products but wish to list about 50 of them.

Okay, with 240 products or even 50 products, I would recommend using your own copy of WordPress at another host, with a true shopping cart plugin. We have some host recommendations at get.wp.com .

@chocolates199 you could have a blog, a shop.chocolates199.com through another store, and also publish your blog articles to Facebook. Let us know what you have in mind.
