How do I paste a text document without losing all linebreaks?

    I have written a novel and want to publish it as a blog on WordPress, but whenever I paste a chapter, all the formatting is lost.
    How do I keep the formatting when inserting text?

    Can you tell me a bit more about the trouble you are having? What is the app you wrote your document in? Microsoft Word?

    Please note that Word is a application for creating printed documents, not web pages, so it can be the case that not all things created within a Word Doc will transfer over cleanly. If that is the case you may want to upload your file to Microsoft OneDrive, and then embedding it by following the steps here: https://wordpress.com/support/word-web-app/
